Before the other news…let’s clear this point up….
Nature’s Garden is opening a SECOND Location in Draper
Utah!
Our location in Nenno, WI is staying open, so don’t
worry, our family is not moving.
Karen, Jen and Chad will be traveling to Utah to offer
classes, but we will keep classes and our wellness center here running in WI
STRONG!
We sent a letter to those on our Karen’s Energy mailing
list with items we are looking for. It
is at the end of this email in case you have anything! This is a VERY exciting time for our family
and for natural health in Utah. We have
so many to interview and will create an entirely new concept in wellness
centers there.
Thus, our last newsletter with the title “we bought a
building, but we are not moving?!” – It’s true!
We are staying here and providing you with our services, just spending
time traveling to our new location in Utah to help those there as well!
It’s not the end of summer yet! Try some more YUMMY smoothies!

WARM CHOCOLATE ELIXIR
3 cups hot tea, coffee or teeccino

2 Tablespoons coconut butter
1 teaspoon - 1 Tablespoon maca root (start with 1 tsp if
you are new to
maca)
2 Tablespoons cacao powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
1/4 teaspoon medicinal mushroom powder, like chaga
1/8 – 1/4 cup sweetener (honey or agave)
Brew hot coffee, tea or teeccino. Puree all ingredients
in a high-speed blender until smooth and frothy.
LIVING VANILLA ICE CREAM
2 cups raw cashews, soaked 4 hours or more
2 cups young Thai coconut meat (about 2 coconuts)
1-1/4 cups coconut water
3/4 cups honey, agave nectar or 4-7 droppersful of liquid
stevia
1/4 cup coconut butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder or 2 tablespoons liquid
vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
In a high speed blender, blend all of the ingredients
until completely smooth. Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator & then
process in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
This ice cream is a great base for all kinds of flavor
variations. You can add pureed strawberries, fresh mint leaves, raw cacao
powder or nibs, chai tea, coffee or whatever your imagination can create!
This dessert can be used as is without freezing it as a
delicious dairy free substitute for whipped cream on top of fruit pies,
chocolate ganache tarts or just fresh fruit salad.
Makes about 5 cups.
The above recipes were slightly modified from our friends
who owned a small raw restaurant up north – they have closed and we will be so
sad when we take our family trip this Feb!
Thanks High Voltage!
Here are a few more of our favorites!
May have shared these already – sorry if we did! YUM!
Banana Chai “Milkshake”
½ Cup raw almonds, soaked
1 ½ Cups filtered water
2 Frozen bananas
1 pitted date, soaked for about an hour
¼ tsp natural vanilla extract
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch sea salt
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until
smooth. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve immediately. ENJOY!!
Orange Honey Cream Sauce
1 Cup raw cashews
¼ Cup fresh squeezed orange juice
2 tablespoons raw honey
2 tablespoons purified water
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and process on
high until smooth.
Chill for 2 hours before serving. Store in a sealed
container in the refrigerator. Orange honey cream sauce is delicious on fruit
salads and will keep for 3 days.
Strawberry, Banana and Fig Pudding Recipe
1 pint strawberries
2 bananas
12 ounces purified water
6 almonds, soaked in water 1 hr
2 dried figs, soaked in water 1 hr and chopped into small
bits
Put strawberries in the blender, add bananas, purified
water and blend.
Slowly add the softened figs. Add almonds and continue to
blend. For a dense pudding just add the 12 oz of water. For a thinner pudding
add more water. Enjoy!
Enjoy the above recipes!
Here is the list of things we are collecting for our new center – read
if you wish!
Every new venture has a list and we just thought we would
put this out there in case any of you had anything you would be willing to
donate / sell so we can get started and keep our money in product and equipment
instead of furnishings!
Only reply if you can help, and please don’t think we are
crazy for asking, but heck, we have supplied dozens of homes with furniture,
clothing (we host free rummage sales….) and toys up the kazoo by placing things
for free at the end of our driveway!
Just looking for anyone else who may do the same….can we
please be at the end of your driveway???? Perhaps you will hear of an auction
or are just rummaging, if you see something of good quality, let us know!
