Playing with Knives, Seminars, EXPO!

Thursday’s Class: Healing with Herbs Part 1 - The Exterior!
Warts, acne, fungus, skin abrasions, infections, skin cancers, cuts and open wounds. How did they get there and how do you heal them? Come learn to heal with herbs at 7 PM with our own Dr. Christopher!

We Need Your Distiller!
For the Milwaukee show we are looking for people to distill their water – and leave all the gunk in their distiller for others to see! If we can borrow your unit full of sediment, please let us know! This made a terrific impact at the Washington County Expo, and we are excited to share this with others! We would LOVE water from the Milwaukee city district – you could even bring us a gallon and we will distill it!

INCREDIBLE SEMINARS!!
Checkout the incredible schedule of speakers! Luckily for you, we will tape most of them, as there is no way you can choose! We have great knowledge here in the area, and you will just grin when you read these incredible topics and presenters. Please visit http://www.vibrantlifehealthexpo.com/literature/MI_Speaker_Guide_Oct11.pdf Please pass this to your friends, family and work associates!

GMO FREE MONTH

What better month for our store to go GMO free? October is GMO Free month and you can visit the GMO Project for info and participating stores at www.nongmoproject.org Did you know GMO’s were banned in Europe years ago? Well so was Avandia, chlorinated chickens, BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone), pesticides and the citizens are busy planning the ban on Food Dyes! Lets join together to better protect our families!

Bag Check
At the Expo in Milwaukee, we are going to have a Bag Check Booth. We are still looking for a group to run this both- to fundraise. If you know of a Boy Scout, Girl Scout, or any troop wanting to raise money, please let them know! People will shop at the Expo, and then keep their goods at the booth until the end of the show.

Projector?
We rent the projectors from Equipment Rentals for our shows. HOWEVER we need one more! We took all they had! If you have a projector we can use for power points in our seminar rooms, please let us know. We can rent them from you! Roger Mike and I will be the only ones touching them, so they will be in good hands. Thanks!

Samples Samples Samples!
We are busy cutting 150,000 samples! If you have an hour or few and want to come play with knives in the kitchen, drop in or call! We will be there! 262-629-4300

Class, Volunteers!

Thursday, October 7th The AMAZING WORLD of Aromatherapy

Come enjoy the fresh & revitalizing scents that heal! Learn the basics of using fragrant essential oils. Learn the tricks and secrets to blending oils, using carrier oils and some basic medicinal uses as well. Essential oils can promote healing, ease pain, and reduce stress. Historically they have helped people stop smoking, ease asthma attacks, clear acne, and clear up numerous other ailments. Come learn how! Ask your fundamental questions, such as “can I take essential oils internally – without upsetting my organs?” and get the answers from Pat Molter – our amazing aroma therapist.

Educate before you Vaccinate

We found something amazing. There is a professional group of MD'S, Practicing Medical Doctors, that will NOT under any circumstance vaccinate. They also will NOT prescribe 85% of the current pharmaceuticals!

We are working with them now to present a seminar at the Expo.

Here is the link to their amazing site. This group of doctors has a mission, and that is to serve and protect YOU from vaccinations. PLEASE visit their site. PLEASE take time and study what you are putting into your body.

Every chemical you put in your body affects your health. Weather it be aspartame, NutraSweet, any of the ingredients you find in that can of soda, body lotion, or a well promoted vaccine (have you noticed the flu vaccine craze in advertising? there is a reason for so much advertising....), chemicals are chemicals and cannot process though your body without effect. (If you don't believe me, ask someone weaning from cigarettes, caffeine, anti-depressants or any drug, the side affects are terrible.) Avoid chemicals and avoid the side effects.

Detailed Volunteer INFO!

If you are interested in volunteering or working at the expo (or working at Nature's Garden), please read on!

Volunteers may help during any of the 4.5 hour slots. In appreciation for your efforts, you will receive: a 2 day pass to the expo OR certificates to attend 2 of our Health and Cooking Classes; and are invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Harvest Party!!

Employees must work a minimum of 15 hours. You will receive $7.50 an hour. (Sorry folks, we are a young non-profit. Better wages next year!)

WE NEED HELP NOW WITH:

Distributing flyers to elementary schools: with the exception of one, all school districts within four counties have approved handing out the Tasting Safari flyers!

Placing our yard signs in Washington, Dodge, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties.

Cutting THOUSANDS of samples of food for the Tasting Safari. (This must be done in our licensed kitchen in Allenton, WI)

HELP WE NEED AT THE EXPO:

Working the ticket table for the Tasting Safari and pre-sale expo tickets at entrance.

Food Handlers: Passing food to Tasting Safari participants during the Safari.

Safari Guides: Giving the Tasting Safaris! This will require reading a script and working with children.

Total Tally: Each young participant can win prizes for each 20 items they sample. We need to count and enter each child’s name for raffle prizes.

Speaker Rooms: We need a monitor to make sure the speakers end on time, and that the flow between presentations (4 presentations at a time) goes well.

Video Booth: We have a video program where anyone around the world can view all of our seminars from each expo, all cooking classes and health classes from their home! This booth will have sample videos playing, and you will simply pass out flyers about the program.

Demonstration Monitor: We have an area on the Expo floor that has different groups performing and demonstrating. You will make sure the microphone works, area is clean, and people start and end on time.

Set Up and Tear Down: Setting up and tearing down!

NATURE’S GARDEN NEEDS:

Help with the following booths:

BlendTec: You will be making smoothies and demonstrating the BlendTec Blender

NutriTeam Distiller: You will be showing people what comes out of the water they drink, and explaining why distilled water is ESSENTIAL to great health. (For the non- converted reading this: distilled water does not remove organic minerals from the body – only non organic! And boy howdie, you have a lot of those if you breath, eat, or if you drink city, bottle or well water! WE LOVE DISTILLED WATER! But alas, this is not a letter about distilled water - although it can change your life! so I will get back to pleading for help…..HELP!)

Raw Booth: Demonstrating the Spiralizer, dehydrators and explaining the basics of the raw food diet.

Kitchen Manager: Although this has nothing to do with the expo, we thought we would send this out with the NEED list! We are interviewing for a KITCHEN MANAGER 20-40 hours a week. Interested? Call 262-629-4300

Now don’t worry, this looks like quite a list, and it is, but we will have help from culinary schools, high school National Honor society members, Volunteer Societies and people like YOU!

We will have a volunteer meeting on October 9th from 9-11 am. If you cannot make the Saturday meeting, there are two other dates you can choose from: Thursday October 7th or the 14th at 6 PM.

PLEASE respond to this email or call 262-629-4301 if you, your friend, your aunt, your dog (well, no dogs I suppose) or ANYONE you know can help! This event will be TERRIFIC! Visit our website for details! www.vibrantlifevibrantchild.com

Lisa and John: Dirty Laundry

Saturday night I attended a wonderful women’s conference. This story was told by President Monson: Lisa and John had moved into a new city. Each Saturday the neighbor across the street would hang up her laundry and Lisa would comment on how dirty the laundry was. Each Saturday, John listened to Lisa complain. One Saturday Lisa exclaimed, “it’s clean! Our neighbor finally has clean clothes! John, how did that happen?” John simply said, “I woke up early and cleaned the window…….” - Ah, a simple story with a great moral: please don’t judge others! You may not have a beam in your eye, but you just may have dirty windows!

On that note…..

I really do not understand what our family does to dryers but……we have not had one again all spring and summer! Not that we mind, we LOVE our laundry outside on the line (and no, it’s not dirty!) but with winter here….we are looking for a dryer! I have lost count as to how many dryers we have bought, rebuilt, and resurrected, but we need another one! Anyone have one for sale?

Plastic Bag Drive

For the expo we need bags! Bring them on in so we can be green for this expo as we were the last one! Everyone got a kick out of reusing plastic bags at the Washington County Expo, so we will do it again, saving our non-profit a pretty penny as well! THANKS!

GMO FREE

Besides a few gluten free items remaining in our end cap freezer….we are now COMPLETELY GMO FREE! It is estimated that 80% + of items found in conventional stores have GMO ingredients and 30%-80% in “health” food stores. (Remember, GMO ingredients are used in many vitamins as well…) We are happy to have cleaned our own store up. HOWEVER we had to say good buy to some very yummy goodies. It was surprising to us, as many of the products said All Natural on them……ha! What marketing can do. Oh well, we are busy looking for more items to replace those we put out to the wayside…..well the front entry on sale…..and thank you to all of you who have stood by this transition! Many of you were sad to learn those products we GMO based, but said you would not eat them any longer. Yeah! Our dollars WILL speak, along with millions of other people standing up to GMO promoters.

Jenna’s Mission Call!

Our oldest daughter has been called to serve a church mission for 18 months in Nevada and CA! The Las Vegas West Mission is where Jenna will spend December 2010 to June 2012. The whole family is very excited for her, and she is thrilled! Jenna has an incredible love for people, and is anxious to serve the people there. We will miss her!

BarbieVille

I walked into the youngest girl’s room today and found all of the Barbie’s dressed up and sitting on furniture in a row. Lilly explained that they were playing Cinderella…and all the Barbie’s needed to try on the shoe! (I didn’t have the heart to explain they all had the same shoe size!)
