ZuZu’s Café Update: The café has a fresh coat of paint, and we are planning menus. We are still looking for a FT cook. You do not need to know how to cook organically, we will teach you! Hopefully we will open the second week in September!!

Note: We will be looking for a building within the next year for our restaurant, so keep your eyes and ears open. We would like a hall attached, or an area we can renovate into a hall. (the wedding coordinator in me….)

COOKING CLASS UPDATE: KC with KC’s Café has had other cooking opportunities in communities closer to her home, so she will not be teaching the remainder of the August cooking classes. It was wonderful to learn from her and we will miss her! We have exciting classes coming up, and will send out a new schedule with those soon. The nut milk class this week was a blast to teach, and I make much more of a mess than KC, but it was worth it! I have always enjoyed teaching cooking classes, so for now you are stuck with me! Attached is the new Natures News that has the how to’s of making nut, seed and rice milk!! Enjoy!!

That’s it! Have a great week and we hope to see you soon!

To good health,

Karen

Our produce department is BURSTING with fresh organic produce so please stop by and bring some home to your table! With the terrific sales lately, we ordered big, so come enjoy what we have today, and more tomorrow!

ZuZu's Organic Cafe is underway! Planning the menu's, hours and layout are underway. We WANT your input! As we have weddings here on Fridays and Saturdays, during the months of May-October we need to be open Monday - Thursday. We are thinking 11:00 until 8:00 PM for lunch and supper, but I wish we were open for breakfast so you could have all of our SMOOTHIES! Thoughts on hours and dates are greatly appreciated! Still looking for more help so let us know! We are excited to have TAMMY helping us with the cafe, so keep an eye out for her smiling face! (she never stops smiling!)

We will have organic soups (some great recipes coming), a raw food section of the menu, roasted pears, and all sorts of fun combinations. If YOU have a great salad or something exciting, please pass it on! EVERYTHING will be organic, and I can't wait to share some of these great recipes with all of you! We will offer many gluten free entrees as well, so hopefully everyone will be accommodated.

Cooking classes are changing just slightly. Well, more than slightly after August! July 29th is still Nut Milks, August 19th Remains Healthy School Lunches, and August 26th Wonderful Wraps. Register soon so we can plan. We need a min of ten people for a class to be held! After that, we need to look at what dates and times for classes work best. KC will be working full time now in another endeavor, so she will not be able to teach anymore of the classes. It has been wonderful having her here at Natures Garden, but we unfortunately can not afford to have her expertise full time! I know much about the remaining classes, but if anyone wants to step in (to relieve some of my time commitments) that would be great! I am anxious to move forward with classes that have been requested. Sprouting ( YUM!) cooking with wheat, and many other basic classes for those beginning to cook organically.

Please share your thoughts about cooking and informational class times and dates. Thanks!

Some of the products that we bring in have added shipping to their costs. You may see a .25 increase on some of those items. We just could not do it any other way! We still strive to keep prices way below suggested retail, so don't worry!

Thank you for sharing our store with others. We want you to find what you need here, and hope you share with us any changes you would like to see. This needs to be a community safe place, where you know your opinion counts. If we need to change or improve something, please let us know!

And, to settle any unrest, we have plenty of room yet! We have all sorts of things up our sleeves so don't worry about where we are going to put things!

Stop in and bring home some of Natures Garden!

Have a wonderful day!!

CHIICKEN!!

Our distributor actually tried selling me regular organic chicken while we were waiting for our restock on Smart Chicken but I simply said...no way! We were waiting for the best, and we are back to being stocked up with Smart Chicken!

For those of you new to the chicekn world, Smart Chicken is humanly harvested, and never touches water. The chicken falls asleep naturally, then is air cooled, not thrown into a huge tank of electrified water to cool down with thousands of other chickens, like the conventional chicken you find everywhere. Yes, you taste the difference, just ask anyone who has tried Smart Chicken!

The produce today is great, the bread yummy, and the staff happy to see you! Come enjoy some ice cream at our new outdoor seating!

THANK you for telling your friends, neighbors and everyone in the area...because of you we doubled our sales all week! Even tripled them some of the days!!! THANK YOU!!!

Hopefully you have all noticed the MANY new items rolling in each day. The front entry now has a freezer exclusive to Organic ice cream, dairy and non dairy! Gluten free cones and organic cones as well as chocolate syrup and can you believe it.....natural marshmallow type fluff! We can find ANYTHING! (rice marshmallow fluff due to arrive today....)

WHOLE FOOD supplements are the only ones that are 100% absorbed into your system. Synthetic vitamins have a very low absorption rate (which is why they put such high 100% in them) so please do not waste your hard earned money on them. Please consider purchasing your vitamins and minerals from our store. We carry the top of the line (but not top price, you know me..) Garden of Life supplements, as well as Mega Foods. Garden of Life vitamins are on sale starting today!

The organic produce looks and tastes great! I just placed our largest order yet -$2,000- of fresh organic produce - and it will be here Wednesday so....get prepared! LOTS of new produce items that we found and wanted to try so......come today, and then!

New gluten free items, repellant, Izze soda, new root beer(gf) salad dressings, and more!!

Yes, the rumor is true...Karen REALLY had fun at the auction this week and yes, I purchased all of the tables and chairs from the local restaurant so we could start a cafe this fall. Won't that be fun! The kitchen is my favorite place to hang out, and sharing our homemade lasagnas, pastas and pizzas will be a ball! All gluten free too! YUM!

We are looking for a helping hand in the kitchen! (well, it would be better if you had two hands...) If anyone is looking to help bake and cook, please call me. Someone who can help PT - FT would be great! Must like our family, because we all work here......

Have a terrific day and please continue to feed your family well!

To your great health,

Karen
