GF UPDATE: The last mailing had an symbol near the items we make GF (Gluten Free). And for those of you not GF, you will love this food as well. Most GF foods I simply do not like, so in our kitchen we use organic grains and very little starch ( if any, most recipes have absolutely none.) So do not let the GF label scare you! GF simply is the exclusion of wheat and other items processed with gluten. We use GF oats, and no wheat when we bake GF so you are good to go. GF chocolate chips are used in the chocolate cookies and bars as well.

FRESH Hummus and vegetable spread in the cooler! GREAT on crackers and sandwiches!

The phone has rung a couple times with the question...."How do I bake with Fresh Whole Wheat Flour?" so here is the answer........bake with enjoyment! You just need to cut back a little on the butter, as the flour you are used too baking with is dry and absorbs so much more liquid. The flour you purchase here from us, we recently ground, so it is fresh and ready to use! The moisture content is much higher, as the brand and germ were still in contact until ground. If you are using WW flour from the store, you will not need to cut back the butter, as most likely it was gound a year ago, so it is dry as well. You will love the flavor of whole wheat. There is no doubt that as people try whole wheat few ever return to white. We have had countless people over the years eat our bread and exclaim that it was the best bread they have ever eaten, and had no idea this is what wheat bread tasted like. Even if they eat wheat from the store. Enjoy!
