Sunday morning I woke up and just stared at the ceiling lost in thought. The busy café, the vendors, the almost 1,000 people that we saw throughout the day, the seminars which were all well attended, the interviews, my incredible family and awesome staff being as busy as could be, and out of my mouth, the first audible words of the day were……that was GREAT!
THE EXPO WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! It was an incredible day. The only complaint we heard from the vendors was….they were so busy they could never walk around!

We had around 912 people at the expo, and another 70ish at the evening activities. Now isn’t that exciting? At around 10:45, not even an hour after the doors opened, I took a walk past the seminar rooms. The vendor hall was already full of hundreds of people at the booths, and the excitement was everywhere. But the seminars….would people actually come? And to the 10am seminars? I walked by room 1, people throughout, then room 2,……3,4,5,6,7 people in all the rooms, and lot’s of them! I just stood in the hallway and…..wept! THEY CAME!

For those who are new to our site, or these e-newsletters, you should be informed of one thing. Our mission as a family, our goal as humans dancing around on this earth is quite simple. To bring the knowledge of how simple the body works, and how wonderful, pain free -disease free health can fortify the majority of all people. OUR BODIES ARE DESIGNED to LIVE! They are magnificently crafted, scientifically engineered powerhouses that need ONE THING to heal and thrive…..perfect foods! It really is that simple. So when I had this crazy idea….to bring together many holistic doctors and natural forms of nurture and healing to one place, some thought us nuts. They questioned who would come? This was my vision, for others to learn and see the many ways to heal without the pharmacy. And well, it happened! YEAH! THANK you to the diverse and knowledgeable vendors, thank you to the incredible volunteers who made this day perfect. My head is still ringing with the countless comments on our delightful, friendly helping staff. This was not a one man show…this was a major group effort!

Now on to Milwaukee! We will choose a date this week, and will keep you posted!

CAFÉ OPEN THIS SATURDAY! MAY 1st!

May day is here! This Saturday ZuZu’s will be open for lunch and supper. Our hours are 11:00 am – 2:30 PM and 5:00-8:00PM. We will have an almost full menu as found on line and our special…..a living RAW Plate! This dinner special is INCREDIBLE! 3 Raw living entrees, an incredible salad and a delightful dessert all for $17.65. Please pre-order the raw dinner so we can keep a running tally! If you get this note late and did not pre order, come anyway! We are just looking for a rough total for the raw dinner special.

TWO DAY FAMILY HERB CLASS – THIS SATURDAY MAY 1st!

Coming this Saturday to a health center near you…..2 Days with the mad scientist and engineer – the master herb man himself….CHIS! Chris and Joy are excited to offer this class to us. The classes are on Saturday May 1st and Saturday June 5th from 9 am – 3:30 pm. The cost is $180.00 and includes lunch both days at ZuZu’s Organic Café. (Personally, it is my favorite café to dine at…..) If you can only make it to one class the cost is $110.00 and you will still receive all the books. If you have not heard Chris speak, you will be blown away with knowledge and inspired to live a life rich and abundant with HERBS! The class will make you a pro as the Family Herbalist! Please call 262-629-4300 to register! May 1st will be class B, and June 5th will be class A. For those who attended the class April 17th, that was class A so keep this Saturday on your schedule! It will be another AMAZING day!

SUN care Products and SKIN care class this THURSDAY!

Join Pat Molter (our amazing aroma therapist) and I for a class on skin protection and care. We will cover a lot of information on summer protection so come! We will be carrying (already have it all in the store just not on a shelf yet) our own line of sun care and protection items and bug repellant. Now, you need to know of a conversation I recently had with Pat. I went to her home a few months ago to discuss new products. While we were discussing oils, she asked me point blank if I really understood the therapy behind oils. I have used them, so I know of many, but she proceeded to bring in her “lab” books and I was blown away! This was amazing!!!! Pat has degrees in aroma therapy, and these books were like science text books that had compounds, degrees, mixtures, magic potions (ok, no magic, just looked like amazing concoctions in some old ancient secret code…..) and I just starred at the pages in awe. Essential Oil Therapists use an art! This is medicinal in every form! THIS, along with herbs of course….is what has healed since the dawn of time. AMAZING stuff. So when we have an oil class, get prepared to learn more than what pretty fragrances you can use on your skin, come learn how amazing and therapeutic these oils really are! Pat, you are awesome!


NEW PRODUCTS GALORE!

We brought in a few things for the expo…….and now they have found a place in our store! You will enjoy the new layout of things…so don’t get discouraged when you come in and a few things…..ok a few hundred things….are in a new place! J

Our new line of LOTIONS! Pat has nailed a perfect blend for lotions and you will never go back to anything else. Please come try some just to see for yourself how wonderful and healthy your hands will feel. Did I mention the SCENTS ARE INCREDIBLE!? We have Almond, Vanilla, Coconut, Raspberry, AND Lavender. We also have our own pump hand soaps too! Same amazing scents and all VERY SAFE - Chemical free ingredients! GREAT STUFF! Did we also mention our own new counter scrubs, counter sprays and headache oils? ORGANIC WINE and BEER, Finally I know for all those who have been harassing me these last two years…….thank Rita for that one! Gluten free beer, great Ales (so I am told) and wonderful wines. We also have Anodyne coffee. I went to the main store downtown last month to meet with the owners about having their coffee freshly packaged for us. It was amazing! There were dozens of coffee bags – the 50 and 100 pound sacks- on pallets everywhere from around the world. We carry the fair trade and organic lines, and for now both the freshly ground and whole bean. They roasted the beans right there at their store and it smelt great! So please pick some up soon and let us know your favorites! All I know is that people loved it on Saturday! We have many other products as well, like organic vegan butter spread, organic peanut butter and chip ice cream, and more but this newsletter I am writing from home sitting in my pajamas so I just can’t give you all of them yet. Heck, it is 6 am!
