Recipes, YOGA, New Products!

New Products!
The list of spices we carry just grows and grows, and so does the feedback! The Seasoned Salt flew off the shelves and is a huge hit. YUMMY on potatoes with olive oil! The salt soap for the face we brought in has had incredible results. We use it in our home and we see and feel the difference – smooth faces. This salt soap is designed to help reduce blemishes and acne, and it does! NEW: Organic spices that are incredible! The chives are so green and sooooo tasty you will look for something to add them too! Dill that tastes like you are eating fresh dill, tarragon that can help anyone’s health while being so darn tasty – sweet like anise, and then a beautiful four peppercorn blend of black, white, green and pink peppercorns! For the spicy in heart we have 5,300 crushed red pepper flakes that are perfect. Broccoli and red clover sprouting seeds are back in stock and fenugreek seed tea as the female tonic herb.

Ice Chips (using xylitol) are also in and available for sample at the front counter! YUM! A perfect refreshing “mint” in these flavors: cinnamon, peppermint, cough chips with menthol, wild berry, citrus crème, clove, pineapple and coconut, and licorice. The younger girls in our family bought the wild berry and have it “hidden” at the store so when they come home from school, they get a treat!

YOGA STARTS WEDNESDAY

This week Wednesday Chad will begin Yoga classes. Chad has studied locally and became certified abroad in India. We have all enjoyed his enthusiasm in the raw kitchen, and he is just as helpful when it comes to our physical health. We brought in the best yoga mats available – no toxins, and yoga blocks and straps. You may bring your own yoga mat and supplies if you desire.

Classes will be:
Wednesdays at 4 pm and 6 pm
Fridays at 6 am and 9 am

Traditionally classes are spilt into different levels. Before doing that, we want to know where our students stand! This is a small studio, and Chad is excited to offer individual help throughout the class. Come if you have never done yoga before and feel comfortable. Chad has been working with our staff – all of which have had limited Yoga experience and it has been great!

We would enjoy hearing from those interested in holding yoga class’s alternate days. Please let us know what days and times work best for you! We want to best serve all those interested in attending.

Class limit is 12 Please pre-register by calling 262-629-4301. After our schedule is set, drop-ins will be welcome!

Class fee includes yoga props (mats, blocks, and straps), complimentary tea, mat cleaning supplies, and use of a studio yoga mat if desired. Packages expire one year from purchase, and are non-refundable.
• Drop-in class: $9
• Full time students of all ages $7/class
• 5-class pass: $40
• 10-class pass: $70
• Private sessions: $35+
We recommend you not eat a heavy meal prior to class (2 hours or so), and drink plenty of water! You may bring a water bottle to class as well. Come in comfortable clothing and bring a small towel. Remember to turn off the cell phones!
As some people have asked, we thought we would share that Yoga is not a religion. Even though yoga came out of ancient India it is not a form of Hinduism, Islam, Sikism, Buddhism or any other Indian based religion. Yoga is enthusiastically practiced by all faiths and denominations alike. Come learn why it is loved and practiced by all!

Raw Indian Food Thursday 7 pm!
As Chad just returned from India he is anxious to make some new recipes! We will still have a few of the traditional Indian foods in raw form that are on our class schedule, but Chad is most anxious to share with you some new recipes as well! We love playing with our food! (in the kitchen of course)

Thermography Special: $99.00 for Teens!
Our wellness center is BOOMING at an incredible rate. One thing we have noticed is that most women do not start watching for abnormalities in the breast until they are 40. Women are encouraged by MD’s to have mammograms at this time in their lives. However, with thermography, you can safely see areas of concern at any age. Teresa has worked with girls as young as 10 years of age who had considerable concerns in the breast tissue caused by radiation from outside their home! It is amazing to watch Teresa work and to see the results – so quickly! On our new website (it will be live in a week or so) we have pictures showing a before and after that will take your breath away. By finding and locating the areas of concern and then applying appropriate protocol, you can stop cancer in its tracks. The best thing about having Teresa here is that for all the years she had her practice in Florida, she recommended raw foods and fresh herbal tinctures as part of the wellness protocol! Well now isn’t Nature’s Garden the best fit possible for WI!
Thermography provides the earliest detection of changes in body and breast tissue and is completely safe, using no radiation and no compression. Metabolic activity and vascular circulation in both pre-cancerous tissue and the area surrounding a developing breast cancer is almost always higher than in normal breast tissue seven images are taken in color, displaying heat patterns, and seven images taken in gray-scale, which reveal vascular pattern definition. Gray-scale imaging is the latest advancement in Thermography. Not having gray-scale imaging, adequate information cannot be provided for a complete evaluation. Angiogenic growth (blood supply), also known as neovascularity, is very often a precursor for tumor formation in the breast tissue. Thermography can detect these variances.

The special $99.00 rate for teens will last until April 15th 2011. Other rates are as follows:

Breast Image $125 Allow 1 hour
Full Body - Men $250 Allow 1 ½ hours
Full Body - Women $375 Allow 2 hours
One Point of Interest Image (not the breast) $ 75 Allow ½ hour
Please call 262-629-4301 to schedule an appointment!

GLUTEN FREE SUGAR FREE Recipes!
These are terrific recipes right from our home kitchen! As we avoid gluten and sugars in our home (other than maple sugar, honey and fruits) we wanted to create a recipe for waffles and pancakes. The following recipe can be used for both! Here you go, and enjoy!
Mind you, this makes a large large batch and they freeze very very well!
Gluten & Sugar Free Waffle & Pancake Delight
1 ¼ cup millet flour
1 cup quinoa
1 cup gluten free oat flour (simply place oats in blender and blend for a few seconds)
¼ cup flax seed meal (simply place flax seeds in blender and blend for a few seconds)
½ cup potato flour (can use rice or amaranth as well)
1 teaspoon salt
3 TB egg replacer (or three eggs)
½ cup oil
4 teaspoons baking powder
Mix together and add 5 1.2 cups water or to desired consistency

Enjoy!

The above recipe calls for 4 cups of flour. Other flour blends we use are as follows, and they both taste great!:
2 cups rice flour, 1 cup coconut flour, 1 cup amaranth flour
2 cups millet flour, 1 cup rice flour, 1 cup amaranth flour
NOTE: water amounts may vary with flour combinations. Coconut flour requires A LOT of water!

The following two newsletters items pertain to the family, so read on only if you have interest!

Grandparents!
And finally, Roger and I became Grandparents! AnnaBelle was born to Allysa and Andrew in California and all are doing well! We believe Roger may have had something to do with the delivery, as apparently she started a small flow while HIKING IN THE MOUNTAINS with my husband during his visit. My goodness, that man and his love for nature! As a Scout Master, he and his scout troop just slept OUTSIDE in 4 degree weather last week in Fond du Lac! AnnaBelle is happy at home with her mother and father and we are happy calling each other…….Grandparents!
Of course, Amy reminded us there were at least 50 more grandchildren coming…….. Heck, I don’t even know how to knit! I better start soon and get a heads up on the blankets!
