GARDEN CLASS TONIGHT 7PM

Join Eva for a TERRIFIC class on organic gardening! Eva is a dedicated and motivated woman with a heart of gold. You will enjoy her easy and approachable way to garden. Bring your questions and enjoy the night with us!
Organic seeds are in! They have been for a week or two, but I simply forgot to tell you all! The EXPO on April 9th is all consuming!

TASTING SAFARI Request

Each participant that attends a Tasting Safari enjoys up to 100 living YUMMY foods and records their likes and dislikes on their Passport to Health. A full Safari costs $10.00 per person. We are charging $6.00 per person which covers the food only.

We are looking for sponsorships from area businesses or individuals to help cover the cost of the Safaris.

If you or someone you know can make a contribution of $10.00 or more, it would be greatly appreciated. We are BUSY raising $7,000 for the Milwaukee show April 16-17 at KIDSfest!

Area businesses who elect to become a sponsor will have an ad placed in the Survival Guide and Cook Book for Kids. This book contains fun facts on vegetarian animals, dozens of tasty easy recipes for living healthy foods, and ads from local businesses. Each ad will advertise their business, but also feature a favorite living food of the owner!

Our sponsor sheet has all the information on making a donation. THANK YOU!

Nature’s Garden offers Massage!

One of the women who shops at our store is just finishing her degree in Massage therapy. Jenny is qualified and excited to share with you her work in full body relaxation massage, side lying massage (for those unable to lay on their fronts or backs) and AIS muscle stretching. I asked Jenny to share something about herself and these are the notes she left: “I love meeting new people , the outdoors, gardening, tiger lilies, the color purple and taking walks in the summer. I have a dog named Pixie who is absolutely adorable and I love making people relax and forget their stresses!”

Jenny is available for one hour massages Monday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 8 AM – 11 AM, and Saturday 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM. When Jenny’s schooling is complete, her hours will be extended. Please give us a call if you are interested in enjoying her gift of massage! As I write, Teresa is receiving a massage and exclaimed “Jenny is WONDERFUL! After returning from a plane flight with a severely tight neck, shoulder and back, this is exactly what I needed!” Teresa is now able to turn her head without pain and she tells of some work Jenny did with her shoulder blade that everyone needs to experience. Needless to say, Teresa booked another massage!

Prices are $45.00 an hour.

YOGA

The attendance to the AMAZING yoga classes keeps rising! Chad is a wonderful instructor, and we are so happy to have him with us. Classes are Wednesdays at 4 and 6 PM and Fridays at 6 and 9 AM. As we are still working out the times that attract the most people, please let us know other times that would work for you! We will soon be offering other yoga classes that are designed with specific medicinal concerns in mind. i.e. Yoga for breast health, yoga for the liver and gallbladder, yoga for digestive issues. Chad is anxious to share with us the many modalities he has learned. Thank you Chad!

Another Testimony!

Although we receive countless words of thanks every week, some of them just need to be shared. Here is one that touched us because it was so easy to relate to her as a busy yet exhausted woman.

“Before I started coming to Nature’s Garden I felt terrible. I had pinching and severe abdominal pain. I had no energy at all, and literally felt as If I would die. My doctor wanted to put me on anti-depressants but I felt like that was not the answer or what I was supposed to do. A friend told me about Nature’s Garden, their Wellness Center, classes and store. I had no idea what to do or what to expect. I came in for a lymphatic treatment and felt crappy all the way home. However, I noticed my constant head ache was gone.
I started the green drinks that everyone at Nature’s Garden recommended. I then realized I was in need of deep cleansing. I came to my second lymphatic appointment and afterwards felt really good. I felt like “OK, this is what I need to be doing and where I am supposed to go”. As I worked on cleaning and regulating my bowels, I realized that my entire life I had a problem with constipation, I just never knew it.

Everyone always has come before me, my husband, my family, everything came before me. Now I am taking time for myself. Now I realize that what I put in my body really makes a difference. I feel the difference. I feel more energy, especially in the morning, and my body really wants green drinks and vegetables. I love red peppers! I am enjoying foods I never knew existed, like kale. I just had rain drop therapy and I feel really great. Teresa is such a miracle worker. God is really good. It is He who directed me here, and I am coming back for more.” - Linda

Tasting Safari at Kids Fest April 16-17, 2011 in Milwaukee!

We have been offered the opportunity to present a Tasting Safari to the children of the Milwaukee area during KidsFest. Last year 19,000 people attended. This is a huge commitment for us, as we need to raise the money to sponsor all of the children that will attend. The estimated number of children we will be serving is 2,000. We will not be serving all 100 foods, but rather a more modest representation of living foods so children do not spend more than 20-30 minutes in the Safari.
We are looking for the following help:
#1) People who wish to help pass out tasty raw samples of food April 16th and 17th at the State Fair Park Grounds.
#2) Staff who can call for sponsorships. WE REALLY NEED THIS HELP ASAP SO PLEASE CALL TODAY!
You may either volunteer your hours or receive hourly pay. Please let us know! We need help today!

Dr. Richard Williams, M.D.

Dr. Williams will be speaking at Nature’s Garden Wellness Center on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:00 PM. Dr. Williams has worked as a physician for 40 years, 19 of which were in Thailand. He is a natural “healer” to many and is an inspirational speaker. He is being hosted by those associated with an Multi Level Marketing company know as Tahitian Noni. We are simply opening our building to the Dr. and letting you know of his speaking engagement. There are limited places to hold gatherings, and the sponsors of Dr. Williams had asked if they could use our location for a meeting. Neither Nature’s Garden nor any of our staff members endorse Tahitian Noni, or other products that will be presented, but enjoy learning about all that is available in the world of natural health! There is no fee to attend this presentation. Dr. Williams will present helpful hints in turning off a universal pattern of muscle spasms, as well as studies conducted on the impact Tahitian Noni has on health.

Recipes Recipes!

The other night I was so hungry when I went home. I grabbed our raw Veggie burgers (made from walnuts and veggies) and a fresh raw veggie kraut. I served them both on lettuce with tomatoes and onions and thought I was in HEAVEN! YUM!
Here is the ever famous Cornbread recipe from ZuZu’s CafĂ©!
(for those of you new to our place, Karen is ZuZu!)

ZuZu’s Cornbread – Gluten Free

2 cups Gluten Free Living Cuisine pancake mix (could use another gluten free mix as well, or two cups whole wheat or spelt flour, or heck, use 2 cups any flour mix really!)
½ cup almond meal
1 ½ cup cornmeal
¾ cup sweetener
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 cups almond or rice milk
½ cup olive oil
3 eggs or replacer equivalent

Bake 350 for 23 minutes or until done

Topping:
2 large sweet potatoes
2 cups corn (fresh or frozen)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/8 cup water
1 cup rice or almond milk

Sauté and then blend. After blending add a handful of nuts and cranberries and spread on top of the cornbread! Then HIDE IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM and eat until you have had your share!!!! (now you know where we hide when we make something yummy!)
