HELLO PROSPECTIVE EXPO Staff and VOLUNTEERS!!!

Yes!! It’s that time again!!

We Need YOU!! We are looking for fun, dedicated, helpful, and hard working staff and volunteers to help at our upcoming Healthy Living Expo Saturday April 9, 2011 at the Washington County Fair Grounds in West Bend, WI.

Last year, we had so much fun as everyone was so helpful and you all did an amazing job! We could not accomplish our Healthy Living Expos without YOUR invaluable help!! To those of you who volunteered at our previous Expos- a BIG THANK YOU to you and we hope you will consider helping us again!!

If you are interested in volunteering or working at the expo please read the Staff and Volunteer duty descriptions and let us know what position you would want to help with. We need many people on April 9th, so please spread the news! Pay for the staff will be determined on an individual basis.
Volunteers for the Tasting Safari:
Must commit to one of two Saturday April 9th shifts (of course, you can work both if you want!):
9:00 am-2:00 pm OR 1:00 pm-6:00 pm. We will have 2 Expo volunteer orientation meetings. Please do your best to attend one: Thursday March 24 at 6 pm or Saturday March 26 at 10 am.
Orientation meetings will be held at Nature’s Garden Wellness Center

If you are unable to help during the hours of the April 9th Expo, but would still like to volunteer for the Safari, we need many hours of help the week leading up to the Expo (April 3rd- 8th).
During this week, hundreds of sample-size bites of food must be cut for the Tasting Safari (All food prep must be done in our licensed kitchen in Allenton, WI). Please consider joining us to help prepare this food! With all the excitement in the air, this is a really fun week!!

Please email Trina (trina@vibrantlifevibrantchild.com) or Jen (jen@vibrantlifevibrantchild.com) or call 262-629-4301 to register as a volunteer. In the message or email, please include the shift you would like to work, the orientation meeting you can attend, your contact info and a little bit about yourself if we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you yet! Also, please consider passing this email on to friends and family members who may also be interested in volunteering. This event will be TERRIFIC!

Thank you all for your continued support, encouragement and willingness to help!!!!!! We are so grateful!!

Tasting Safari at Kids Fest April 16-17, 2011 in Milwaukee!

We have been offered the opportunity to present a Tasting Safari to the children of the Milwaukee area during KidsFest. Last year 19,000 people attended. This is a huge commitment for us, as we need to raise the money to sponsor all of the children that will attend. The estimated number of children we will be serving is 2,000. We will not be serving all 100 foods, but rather a more modest representation of living foods so children do not spend more than 20-30 minutes in the Safari.
We are looking for the following help:
#1) People who wish to help pass out tasty raw samples of food April 16th and 17th at the State Fair Park Grounds.
#2) Staff who can call for sponsorships. WE REALLY NEED THIS HELP ASAP SO PLEASE CALL TODAY!
You may either volunteer your hours or receive hourly pay. Please let us know! We need help today!

Dr. Richard Williams, M.D.

Dr. Williams will be speaking at Nature’s Garden Wellness Center on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:00 PM. Dr. Williams has worked as a physician for 40 years, 19 of which were in Thailand. He is a natural “healer” to many and is an inspirational speaker. He is being hosted by those associated with an Multi Level Marketing company know as Tahitian Noni. We are simply opening our building to the Dr. and letting you know of his speaking engagement. There are limited places to hold gatherings, and the sponsors of Dr. Williams had asked if they could use our location for a meeting. Neither Nature’s Garden nor any of our staff members endorse Tahitian Noni, or other products that will be presented, but enjoy learning about all that is available in the world of natural health! There is no fee to attend this presentation. Dr. Williams will present helpful hints in turning off a universal pattern of muscle spasms, as well as studies conducted on the impact Tahitian Noni has on health.

Recipes Recipes!

The other night I was so hungry when I went home. I grabbed our raw Veggie burgers (made from walnuts and veggies) and a fresh raw veggie kraut. I served them both on lettuce with tomatoes and onions and thought I was in HEAVEN! YUM!
Here is the ever famous Cornbread recipe from ZuZu’s Café!
(for those of you new to our place, Karen is ZuZu!)

ZuZu’s Cornbread – Gluten Free

2 cups Gluten Free Living Cuisine pancake mix (could use another gluten free mix as well, or two cups whole wheat or spelt flour, or heck, use 2 cups any flour mix really!)
½ cup almond meal
1 ½ cup cornmeal
¾ cup sweetener
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 cups almond or rice milk
½ cup olive oil
3 eggs or replacer equivalent

Bake 350 for 23 minutes or until done

Topping:
2 large sweet potatoes
2 cups corn (fresh or frozen)
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/8 cup water
1 cup rice or almond milk

Sauté and then blend. After blending add a handful of nuts and cranberries and spread on top of the cornbread! Then HIDE IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM and eat until you have had your share!!!! (now you know where we hide when we make something yummy!)
