WOW what a fun few days! Our family (and two teenage guests) took off yesterday to spend the day at the museum and we even went out to eat! That was interesting....not much GF out there anywhere.....nevertheless we had a BALL! Four of the kids dressed up like pirates, and did they get the looks. They sure had fun in the sea area. Perhaps a bit too much fun speaking like pirates and scaring the kids. Finally Eric broke out with Dr. Suess One Fish Two Fish in pirate slang in time to send laughter everywhere!

CREATING PROBIOTICS and FERMENTATION CLASS! TONIGHT 6:30 PM! Our presenter, Donna, is a fermentation fiend. She loves traditional kimchis and krauts with exotic flavors. She mixes it with salads and eat it as snacks. Do you know all the health benefits of fermented foods?

In Chef Donna's own words...." Lactic-acid fermentation involves creating conditions in which naturally occurring organisms thrive and proliferate. By eating a variety of live fermented foods, you promote diverse microbial cultures in your body that aid digestion and boost your immune system. Fermented foods are a good source of amino acids, vitamins and minerals. In this class, you will learn simple techniques to ferment foods at home like raw cabbage kraut and pickles without vinegar and how to use cultures like kefir [pronounced kuh-feer]! My personal favorite is the champagne-like coconut water kefir -- great for making healthy alcohol-free cocktails! Plus, learn to incorporate it into great tasting dishes." Sure to be a great class, and entertaining.....as always! Please COME!

SPECIALS: Red Leaf Lettuce $1.75, Green Leaf Lettuce $1.99, Fresh bunches of Parsley or Cilantro just $ .99

NEW ITEMS: Fennel bulbs with greens!.Napa cabbage, Yummy Earth Peppermint drops and lemon drops, Mrs. Meyers Geranium scent laundry detergent ( the others are great too!), Farmers Creamery Buttermilk, spelt berries, natural baking cups and cheese cloth, frozen cranberries, and a bunch more on the truck today and tomorrow! ( gosh, just so busy I can't remember what in the world I all ordered!)

COMING SOON TO A HEALTH FOOD STORE NEAR YOU! well, at least it's coming to Nature's Garden......Weekly Produce Specials! I am working with our produce supplier to provide specials each week so we can pass them on to you! Look for a flyer coming your way in the very near future! Now, the real question...anyone want to work on creating a flyer? Please tell me how I get into all these things......it's this unceasing mind of mine......

NEW CLASS SCHEDULE: Many of you have asked for me to repeat classes. Please let me know which ones so I can work them into the next few months. The new schedule is coming out in the next week or so.

NEW CAFE MENU is now being printed. I have attached a few new pictures of our additions to the menu so you can have a few cravings here and there..... and as always, everything is all organic!

NOTE: As luck has it, the wonderful Gluten Free and Organic pancake mix we make has a set back...the OG millet flour is not being shipped currently by any of our suppliers! So, we have a different one on it's way, and will most likely be taking a road trip across country to go pick it up! That or we will just purchase a new mill and grind our own darn OG millet flour!

Spring has sprung, and that means our weddings are starting. YEAH! In my other life, I am a weekend wedding coordinator. Hard to believe after the past many months of exciting health issues! PLEASE check our website for our wedding schedule. We appreciate you shopping before, in-between and after weddings. We try hard to keep the property quiet during all of our weddings here at The Gardens so we appreciate you not coming within the 15 minutes before a wedding and then the 40 minutes the wedding is being performed. PARKING will always be open for you in front of the store, so come on up the driveway. There will be hundreds of people here all dressed up, but don't let them intimidate you! They all know we are an operating store.

NOTE: IF we have an outdoor ceremony and you come during that time we may ask you to come back when it is over. We simply do not want traffic during our outdoor weddings.

ZUZU'S CAFÉ WILL CLOSE DURING WEDDINGS to the outside public. Only wedding guests will be served from 1pm - 5 pm Friday and Saturdays when there are weddings. (you are still welcome to come 10:30 until 1:00PM on wedding days.) 5 - 9PM we will be open as usual and serve you all, so plan on that. We have not scheduled any receptions here, and will no longer do so. YEAH! Those drove me nuts! If there are no 1:30 and 3:30 weddings we will remain open as regular until our lunch rush dies down

QUESTION: Would you like us to open earlier on Saturdays?
