Almond Pancakes!!!
If you are looking for a great pancake that is GLUTEN free, DAIRY free, WHEAT free, SUGAR free, here it is! This is a recipe we adapted and changed as we went through a Candida cleanse. Enjoy! (we used all organic ingredients, please avoid those darn GMO's!)

1 Cup almond flour
1/2 cup flaxseed meal
2/3 cup chickpea/fava flour
1 TB baking powder
1/2 teas salt
1/4 tea cinnamon

Combine dry ingredients and add: 2 1/2 tea. olive oil and 2 1/2 + cups unsweetened almond milk (fresh or from a box) YUM!

Our seed packets are on sale for .99! Come plant!

NEW YUMMY soup! Our ZuZu's split pea soup was all sold out in two days...sorry! We will make another huge pot tomorrow!

I suppose it is time to let you in on our VERY exciting plan....he he he....... www.livincuisine.com was secured this past week as another website we will host! We will be up and operating soon! We will be selling our DVD's, Food Equipment (lot's of Appliances), and in a few months Raw Coconut products and Raw Cacao products, our own blend of teas, tinctures, etc. AHHHHHH we are so excited! Chris, our herbal man (Joy shares him with us....Joy is his other half), and I are VERY excited to be working together. Chris developed a really great tooth powder (herbal one) and I LOVE IT! We are working on packaging etc. So, this will take a little while, but will be well worth the wait. We will keep you posted!

ZUZU'S CAFE CLOSED THESE 6 SATURDAYS in 2009 for lunch.
June 13, 20, 27th, July 25th, September 5th and 19th.
We have 11:00 Weddings on those days. Sorry!
We will open at 5:00PM on each of these Saturdays for dinner!

If you are baking and preparing food at home, please note we have over 20 types of flour to choose from! Avoiding wheat is no problem here, plus both Sheri and I have baked and worked with many of other flours, so we may just be able to help you if you have a question. Coconut flour is GREAT to use, and Karen's favorite in Almond flour. Teff is rich, Oat flour (Gluten Free Oat flour from canada) is sweet, tapioca flour is light. Bean flour is great and rich in proteins and works as a great thickener....etc.

GRAINS and BEANS are great in fresh salads! Stock up on quinoa and other great grains for sprouting and salads! Black beans and fresh salsa are my favorite thing on a fresh garden salad!

Have a GREAT weekend, and enjoy your health!

Karen
Enjoying life outside the box! (Lot's more room!)
